Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will manage and mine an assigned territory of target accounts in software, technology and integration services to drive the early stage of the sales cycle by booking qualified appointments for the Chief Revenue Officer.  


The Role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will manage and mine an assigned territory of target accounts in software, technology and integration services to drive the early stage of the sales cycle by booking qualified appointments for the Chief Revenue Officer.  

Success will be earned by farming existing leads, conducting high volume prospecting, and building and developing strong vendor relationships with key decision makers and influencers  (CMOs and/or key executives responsible for field marketing, events, webinars, product marketing, demand generation, content marketing, or market research insights),  who can benefit from WIS’s integrated marketing packages as they implement their respective go-to-market programs and look to drive new high quality sales leads.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Builds sales pipeline by managing and mining an assigned territory of 150+ companies by identifying and qualifying prospects, successfully booking appointments and providing support in closing sales for the Chief Revenue Officer.
  • Documents all sales activity in CRM system (Salesforce) to maintain an accurate lead database and performs monthly and quarterly forecasting tasks.
  • Builds a strong rapport and credibility with all customers to establish trust which will lead to long-term relationships and additional sales opportunities.  This includes timely follow-up with customers as well as maintaining knowledge of customer’s business and future needs.
  • Meets or exceeds all sales quotas related to daily prospecting volume and qualified appointments scheduled.
  • May work collaboratively with the marketing team and other sales team members to create lead generation campaigns to drive lead activity and further cultivate sales pipeline.   
  • Continues to develop self by maintaining a high level of current industry and company service knowledge.
  • May attend industry events and/or participate in sales presentations with Chief Revenue Officer and/or Sales Directors.
  • May perform additional duties and/or sales support activities as requested.
  • Researches prospect companies to learn and understand their business and the potential opportunity for WIS.

Professional Qualifications

  • Consideration will also be given to candidates who have demonstrated a strong academic track record in college and who participate in extracurricular activities that demonstrate a high aptitude for sales success.
  • General knowledge of integrated marketing programs related to event sponsorship, research report sponsorship, website advertising, webinar sponsorship is a huge plus.

  • Proven experience in building rapport with customers and quickly establishing trusting relationships.

Conference Producer - Raleigh, NC

SAPinsider, is a leading provider of global events for IT and technology professionals using SAP platforms.   We are growing and have an immediate need to hire an experienced Conference Producer who can help take our well-established events to the next level with creative and innovative strategic thinking.  This is a full life-cycle event production role, where you will work on conference agendas starting with topic research and vetting of potential speakers, through on-site execution of a flawless conference. Reporting to our EVP of Events based in Raleigh, the ideal candidate must have a keen interest in learning, attention to detail and can handle multiple events in various stages of production.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Recruits and vets speakers to present best practices on selected topics.  Manages communications and relationship with speakers before, during and after events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish WIS’s market facing value proposition positioning while managing a 125-150 named account territory of existing clients and targeted prospects within a dedicated area of technology focus. The Sales Director is a proven and versatile new logo acquisition and client growth Type A sales leader. The Sales Director leads an inside/out model that combines high activity-based selling with engaging interpersonal consultative skills. The WIS sales model combines research lead consultation and technology advisory with keen awareness of the GTM challenges that face technology providers. The Sales Director is the leader of the team selling process within their territory orchestrating the steps to assure sales success.

WIS owns and operates the 300,000-member strong SAPinsider end user community that actively makes buying decisions on software and technology solutions to improve their overall business performance and agility. This creates a dynamic sales environment for WIS to engage technology prospects as they implement their respective go to market programs and look to drive new high-quality sales leads.

  • Engage the technology CMO’s team at named accounts including key executives within field marketing, event marketing, webinar marketing, product marketing, demand generation, content marketing and market research insights.

Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Software Developer with a minimum of 5+ years of advanced WordPress development along with PHP experience to join our Technology team. Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant is a proven financial professional reporting directly to the Controller and will assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial data.  The ideal candidate will seek continuous improvement to gain accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness in all aspects of the accounting function, including internal and accounting policies and procedures.


Specific Responsibilities Include

  • In partnership with the Controller, will perform general ledger duties that includes:
    • Generating monthly financials, in accordance with GAAP.
    • Performing month-end-closing for general ledger and Concur system.
    • Preparing monthly reconciliations of financial accounts.
    • Preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for monthly closing.
    • Tracking and manageing service revenues.
  • Reviews and approves payroll for processing.
  • Generates sales and property tax filings to ensure proper filing of all state compliance regulations.
  • Participates in the annual audit process for the organization and may act as the principal liaison with company auditors to handle accounting and tax issues.
  • Supports the Controller with ensuring compliance with all internal controls. Identifies and makes recommendations for streamlining processes and controls, resource utilization, and tax strategies.
  • Prepares and maintains operational and financial metrics and reports which may require research and analysis.

Professional Qualifications

Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant will assist with general accounting activities in the organization and be responsible for Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivables (A/R). The ideal candidate will have a solid academic foundation will “sweat the details”, be highly motivated and is able to work under tight deadlines in a fast-agile work environment.


Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Participates in supporting general accounting activities for the organization:
    • Assists with asset, liability, revenue and expense related entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
    • Assist with monthly general ledger closing that may include posting journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and verifying and resolving discrepancies.
    • Participates in the annual audit process.
    • Conducts analysis and prepares ad hoc reports, as requested.
  • Manages all aspects of the A/P function, to include:
    • Verifies vendor invoices.
    • Maintains vendor files and documentation.
    • Processes vendor payments.
  • Participates in A/R activities for the organization that may include:
    • Reviews transactions for errors and accuracy and makes any needed corrections.
    • Ensures all changes to accounts are accurate and legitimate.
    • Manages customer bills and payment processing and ensures pro-formal invoicing.
    • Responsible for the daily customer collections calls including sending follow-up inquiries.  Responds to incoming calls and questions regarding A/R activities and processes customer requests.
    • Receive and process payments, invoices, and accounting information.  Answers inquiries and escalated customer issues.
    • Produces monthly statements from outstanding A/R.
  • Handles special projects and other duties as requested.

Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in accounting, finance or related business degree.
  • 1-2 years of related hands-on experience supporting an accounting department with A/R, A/P and general accounting duties.  Consideration will be given to candidates that have a strong academic accounting foundation and have had a directly related internship with experience in A/R and A/P. 
  • Understands the basic principles of GAAP.
  • Basic knowledge of financial software programs. Knowledge in Financial Force would be a bonus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office skills, including advanced Excel.
