Conference Project Manager

Researcher, analyst, writer and eventually conference producer...these are the key responsibilities and exciting challenges you’ll take on as a junior member of our quality-driven conference production team.

We are seeking an ambitious, highly detail-oriented professional with strong communications skills to assist our conference team in researching technology markets and trends, recruiting expert speakers, developing program agendas, editing content, and producing events that draw rave reviews from attendees and exhibitors alike.  As Conference Project Manager, you will:

  • Work with editorial operations to pull together content for on-site materials (program guides,  conference signage, and other on-site collateral)
  • Proof conference materials and websites against databases
  • Have the ability to notice inconsistencies throughout various data sources
  • Juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, managing time and resources to meet strict deadlines
  • Communicate issues and concerns with content editors and conference producers regularly in order to produce materials that achieve WIS’ editorial and quality standards
  • Work as part of a team on site at conferences
  • Occasionally participate in interviewing and qualifying the speakers who possess the expertise to deliver the detailed technical information that our customers need. 
  • Support Conference Producers with a variety tasks associated with meeting event deliverables and deadlines
  • Take ownership of events after they have been produced by Conference Producer
  • Write promotional copy
  • Additional projects and tasks as assigned.

In this role, no two days will be alike, and you will be called upon to manage projects that require flexibility, extreme attention to detail, and a “whatever it takes” perspective.  Some travel is required.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • 2+ years of solid work experience in any number of roles requiring outstanding writing and communication, research, project management/coordination, journalism or sales skills.  High tech experience is a plus.
  • Polished and effective written and presentation skills

Editor

Are you a talented communicator with digital savvy and a strong desire to grow professionally? If yes, we should meet. 

Our SAP publications team is looking for a versatile editor/writer who enjoys “wearing many hats” — such as marketer, project manager, interviewer, and client consultant — to develop compelling content for our online, print, and mobile editorial channels.

As our new Editor, you will be responsible for:

  • Writing and editing articles, case studies, blogs, abstracts, subject lines, press releases, and white papers that appeal to business and IT professionals
  • Quickly ramping up your understanding of SAP technology
